Fuel Price Watch operates on a subscription and service-access model. We provide real-time station data, location-based price visibility, and optional business tools for registered fuel stations.

To ensure clarity and fairness, this refund policy outlines the circumstances where refunds apply, in line with Nigerian commercial practice and international consumer-protection standards.

General Policy

All payments for subscription plans are final. Refunds are only granted in specific, verifiable cases listed below.

Eligible Refund Situations

A refund may be approved if:

Service Failure From Our End

• The paid features did not activate after successful payment.
• The platform experienced extended downtime (5+ consecutive days) preventing access to paid features.

Duplicate Payment

• You were charged twice for the same subscription period.

Wrong Plan Charged

• You selected and paid for one plan but the system charged you for a higher tier without providing the higher-tier features.

Non-Refundable Situations

Refunds will NOT be issued for:

• Change of mind or lack of usage after purchase.
• Incorrect user entry (e.g., wrong account details).
• Issues related to network/data access on your device.
• Discontent with station prices, price changes, or market conditions.
• Third-party technical issues outside our control.
• Expired subscription periods.

Refund Request Window

Refund requests must be submitted within 7 days of the transaction.

Processing Time

Approved refunds will be processed within 7–14 business days, via the original payment method or bank transfer where applicable.

Evidence Required

We may request proof such as:

• Payment receipt or bank alert
• Screenshot of error or access failure
• Registered account email/phone

Free Plan & Trials

Free tier services and promotional trials do not qualify for refunds.

Business (Station) Accounts

For fuel station operators:

• Cancellation stops future billing; it does not trigger refunds for the current period.
• If you terminate before plan end, access remains available until the subscription expires.

Chargebacks

Customers are expected to contact Fuel Price Watch before initiating a bank or card chargeback. Fraudulent chargebacks may result in account suspension and legal action under Nigerian cyber/financial laws (Cybercrime Act 2015 §14).
